We came to Akin with Taffy, a shelter dog with a lot of reactivity. Walks, having guests over, and just being outside had become stressful for us — we were constantly anxious about what she might react to next. Akin helped train both Taffy and us, and helped us see her real potential and that she likes having direction and boundaries. We appreciated the homework (kept us accountable), the check-ins, and his flexibility when our schedule changed. Taffy is so much better on leash now, walks are actually enjoyable, Taffy can explore the backyard, and we are less nervous about having people over again.
