Exceptional Results with ABC Training Kennels & James “Akin” Akin-Otiko

Our female German Shepherd puppy, Sierra (born December 15, 2025), completed training with James Akin-Otiko at ABC Training Kennels from June 17, 2026, through July 6, 2026, and we could not be more pleased with the experience and results. When Sierra began training, she was a typical young German Shepherd—smart, energetic, curious, and full of puppy enthusiasm. In just 2½ weeks, Akin helped transform her into a more focused, obedient, confident, and responsive dog while preserving the loving personality that makes her so special. One of the things we appreciated most throughout the process was Akin's outstanding communication. While Sierra was in training, he regularly sent us videos and photographs showing her progress and the skills she was learning. Being able to see her development firsthand gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to share in her journey every step of the way. When Sierra completed her training, Akin personally brought her back to our home and spent several hours working with our family to ensure a smooth transition. He carefully reintroduced Sierra to her home environment and taught us how to properly reinforce the commands and behaviors she had learned. What really impressed us was that Akin recorded videos of us working with Sierra while we practiced the commands and techniques he was teaching us. He then sent those videos to us afterward, giving us a personalized reference library that we can continue to review whenever we need a refresher. That level of dedication and follow-through is truly exceptional and demonstrates how invested he is in the long-term success of both the dog and the owners. In addition to obedience training, Akin introduced Sierra to a raw food diet and explained the benefits. Since making the transition, Sierra has gained the healthy weight she needed and looks absolutely fantastic. Her coat is beautiful, she appears stronger and healthier, and her overall condition has improved noticeably. Akin is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about helping dogs and their owners succeed. His expertise with German Shepherds is evident in everything he does, and his genuine care for Sierra's well-being was apparent from day one. The transformation we saw in Sierra during those few weeks exceeded every expectation we had. More importantly, Akin gave us the knowledge, confidence, and tools necessary to continue building on her success for years to come.
