We came across ABC Training Kennels quite literally, by accident! Our adult son has a 90 lb mixed German Shepherd named Odin. Although Odin is extremely gentle, he’s very large, head strong and extremely powerful. Jonathan was walking him late one evening on some hilly and damp grass. Odin pulled, Jonathan stumbled and broke his tibia and fibula requiring extensive surgery and will be on crutches for several weeks. As lovable as Odin is, he’s a lot to handle and we felt a board/training facility was the best option under the circumstances. After a few hours of searching and calling different facilities, we found Akin and ABC Training Kennels. From the moment I messaged him, I knew we’d found the right place for Odin and help for our emergency situation. We were able to get Odin in that evening. The communication between us, Akin and his wife Dr. Marie, was absolutely top notch from the very beginning….we felt Odin was definitely at the right place. We got almost daily group videos and messages showing his amazing progress. Odin is currently staying with a relative and continues to practice and improve on his newly learned skills every day. We are grateful to Akin and Marie, and also highly recommend ABC Training Kennels!
