We were told about Akin and ABC Training Kennels from a friend. After discussing the what and how to start training our new 12 week old puppy as a family, we were unsure on how to begin the process. We called ABC Trainig Kennels to inquire about their specific methods and to have a quick "get to know you session". Akin came to our home and after he left the first time we knew that as a family we all needed to begin being on the same page, using the same commands and training methods. ABC Training Kennels came to our home weekly and helped our family learn how to develop Hazel into an obedient dog. I know that puppy training can be frustrating, this experience was far from it. We were taught the best practices on training with extreme patience. Not only did we learn proper commands, we also had the opportunity to ask questions about behavior, and were given advice based on the specifics. For example, after a conversation about loose leash walking and Hazel's interest in other dogs being walked and her having a tendency to pull toward that dog, he brought his own dog to teach us the best way to alleviate this behavior. When it was time to introduce the e-collar, we sat down and were explained the benefits of using the e-collar and when and how it should be used. We all held on to the collar so that we could experience what Hazel would feel. This helped us understand how this tool would enhance her training. All in all our experience was fantastic and we highly recommend this service!
