"Emma, our 10-month-old Sheltie rescue puppy is our third dog over the last 30 years, and because of her early in life poor experiences, had problems that required professional help to fix. We researched several training options and asked for recommendations from our veterinarian for a training opportunity for Emma Akin and ABC Training Kennels came highly recommended, and we selected the two-week board and train option for our dog. We are glad we did! Akin took Emma into his home and quickly established a warm working relationship with Emma that facilitated his training effort. We needed Emma to learn not to jump on people when she first met them, not to lead on the leash when being taken for a walk, be socialized when encountering other dogs and to limit her excessive barking.
