I recently had the good fortune of being referred to ABC Training Kennels for the training of my 6 month old (re-homed) Golden Retriever.  I was told that “Akin is amazing” and that he is!   Akin and his wife Marie spent significant time talking with me (in their living room) getting to know me and what I hoped to get out of the training.  They put me at ease as I was about to leave my puppy with people I didn’t know for the next several weeks.   Throughout Betty’s stay (inside in a very active but peaceful household), Akin would send videos of Betty learning new skills. There is no technique used that made this  Golden-lover push-over uncomfortable.   Betty’s progress blew me away but what also blew me away is how she bonded with Akin which was evident in her constant focus on him and the direction being given. I affectionately refer to him as the dog whisperer. However, I had to learn as well and that learning requires me to be consistent and work with Betty each day.   Akin and Marie were patient with me and we laughed together as I had a lot to learn - and that was after having 7 Golden’s who did not have the gift of training with Akin.
Some may look at the pricing for the various training packages as being too pricey.  I look at it as a lifetime investment in my relationship with my dog and an investment in her safety.  Make the investment - you won’t be disappointed!
