Our dog Amya completed the Aggressive/Reactive dog training program. We have a 2-year-old American Bulldog that was high anxiety and had many passive aggressive behaviors. Amya was unable to go on walks without trying to bark and run up to other dogs and was unable to be redirected making walks difficult and stressful. If we had company she would jump or get in their face and if she felt any kind of fear, she would growl and become passive aggressive towards the individual. Amya feared everything and was difficult to redirect when it came to people and other dogs outside of her home, even car rides where unpleasant. After a difficult trip to the vet for a checkup, I decided it was time to do something regarding Amya’s behavior. We had our consultation with Akin for the Aggressive dog program. This visit was rewarding but also very difficult for me as a dog parent. In a short time after our consultation Akin was able to show me how Amya can listen and follow commands the first time. After seeing this I cried for two reason one because she listened and I was excited to see that she could but I also, felt in that moment I failed her by letting her behaviors progress to this point.

As a family (two girls 15yrs and 7yrs) and my husband we completed the aggressive dog classes. Not only did Amya grow and become a happier dog. We as a family grew as we learned what Amya needed to be successful and confident. Once it clicked that we needed to be consistently consistent Amya can now walk on a leash, ignore other dogs, people and has learned to properly greet visitors at the door without being overwhelming. This program also, has given her confidence she needs to be a happy dog and us the confidence we need to be successful dog owners. If you are struggling with your pup I would not hesitate to call.
